About ECAT

ECAT (English Competency Analytical Test) is an English language assessment blended with National Level competition taken by lakhs of students every year. It assesses the knowledge, understanding and application of skills like reading comprehension, formal and functional grammar, language usage, vocabulary and reasoning.

Level 1:
Assessment Round

Students from Grade 2 to 9 can participate.

Students scoring 60% & above will get Selection Letter for Grand Finale. All other students will receive certificate of participation.

Performance Assessment Report will be available on www.neltas.com

Exam Dates:

For Individual Registrations:24th November, 2019 (Sunday)

For Registration through Schools:
To be decided by school.

Result Date: 45 days after the exam date

For every wrong answer 2 Marks will be deducted.

Level 2:
Grand Finale

Studentshaving secured 60% and above in Assessment Round will be qualified for Grand Finale.

Exam Dates:

For Individual Registration - 2nd February, 2020 (Sunday)

For Registration through Schools - Exact Date to be declared by school

Result Date: 45 days after the exam date.

Examination Centre will be finalized by the NELTAS.

Top 1000 students from each grade in Grand Finale will be declared in Merit and awarded accordingly.

There will be additional 0.5 Negative Marking for every wrong answer. Therefore, total 2.5 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.
